In the search for The Good Shit™, Barman is a stop every self-respecting listener should take. His music is subversive in a way that doesn't immediately hit you. His persona reminds me of that of Connie Voltaire, with all the positives and negatives involved in that comparison.

A lot to digest but it's all lean and delicious. Grade A beats and delivery. Stand outs are Breezeway Ritual, My Auntie's Building, and Brick Body Complex. Obviously the later is inspiration for the album art, both compliment each other so much and set the tone for the set. Another record I'm happy to have taken a random chance on, Robert Writhe
